Tailor-Made to Fly: Life Lessons in Custom Charter Aviation

“The athlete of Air Charter!” — Phil Knight, Co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of Nike, Inc.

Born in the United Kingdom and educated at Bethany School, Goudhurst, Kent, Tracey Deakin has a lifelong fascination with aviation and aerospace. Tracey’s passion for the industry brought him to his first job in aviation at Invicta International in 1976. Shortly thereafter, he attained his pilot’s license. With a career spanning more than forty-four years, Tracey’s efforts with Invicta, IAS Cargo Airlines, El Al Israeli Airlines, and Zambia Airways formed the building blocks to support interactions with major domestic, European, and International air travel. In 1987, Tracey arrived in the United States and helped launch Alpha Jet, Inc as well as the Long Beach Jet Center in the burgeoning air charter and corporate aircraft business. Tracey Deakin is one of the original founders of Le Bas International, an air charter company synonymous with providing excellence to a global clientele.

“Aviation is a fascinating journey. Tracey celebrates this magically.”  — Clay Lacy, Founder and Former CEO of Clay Lacy Aviation—the first executive jet charter company in the Western United States
