If you have written a personal MEMOIR or a work of MILITARY HISTORY or ADVENTURE TRAVEL, the information below will guide you through our submission process.
Submissions: We prefer a brief query email with a synopsis of what your story is and who you are. If you sufficiently pique our interest, we will then ask for a formal proposal. If that grabs our attention even further, then we'll ask to see the finished manuscript. At this time, we accept ONLY email submissions. No paper via snail mail and NO phone pitches please.
Topics: Veteran memoirs and non-fiction accounts of America`s soldiers and their battles are of utmost interest. Other country`s armies might be of interest, as is ancient Greek or Roman history. Travel adventure tales are always welcome, particularly if you have accomplished some extraordinary feat such as walking around the world or sailing solo across the Atlantic.
Quality: We do not expect you to be a published author nor have an absolute mastery of prose. In fact, many of our books come from first-time authors. But, it is a good idea to make sure your query and/or proposal is free of typos and grammatical errors.
Time: IT TYPICALLY TAKES US 4-6 WEEKS TO RESPOND TO YOUR QUERY. If we decide to publish your book, you can expect it to take anywhere from 9-12 months after signing the contract to finished product.
