Andrew Leyden
Andrew Leyden is a former defense advisor to two U.S. Representatives in the Congress. During that time, he offered briefings, advice, and research into various weapons programs and force structure of the U.S. military. He has traveled the country on inspection tours and helped solve military problems ranging from inadequate troop housing to cost overruns in major weapons systems. In addition, he served as an international observer in Nigeria during a change of government ceremony in the early 1990s.
He worked as a news reporter for four years before beginning this detailed compendium of the Persian Gulf War. What started as a briefing package for his boss has evolved into what has become know as an authoritative reference on the Gulf War. Leyden hold a B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois and is currently a candidate for J.D. from the University of Notre Dame.
